Holiday Season

It's now been two years. I get sad sometimes bout it...most times when I think about it. One reason I have trouble with keeping up is my carpal tunnel dealie. Had my right one done and it's a lot better. Now the left is the one that aches about two minutes into touch typing. Guess I'll have to have another surgery. We're going to leave on the 22nd to go to Paris for Christmas. It is all coz of Rob who is stationed Over There. Jane and I, Rebecca and Nathan, Matthew, Gigi, Jerry and Will as well as Elizabeth and Rob will be there. Some of Gigi's friends will be as well. It looks to be a load of fun. I plan to spend some time in the Louvre and Jerry and I are going to go to Normandy and the beaches and the graveyards. Everyone who's been sez it's very moving.

My son, Ted, has cut off all contact with his family, primarily with me, but effectively with all of us. A major consequence is that I am unable to have contact with my grandchildren, especially with Claire, nieta de mi alma. This is one of the most painful events of my life. I love my grandchildren dearly and missing them has caused me grief that is at times nearly unbearable. Friends I trust have told me to journal and to keep a record so one day she'll know I missed her daily. This is it.
